Since 1960, Santal participated in this history of success by designing and reliable equipment, thus contributing to the competivity of brazilian sugar cane crops. Most of the harvesting, loading and transportation equipment currently used by local cane producers has been designed and manufactured by Santal and have been also present in many countries like: Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Guatemala, Argentina, Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, El Salvador, Mexico, Cuba, Guadeloupe, the Ivory Coast, Mozambique and South Africa.

With advanced digital technology resources, Santal’s Research and Technology Department is responsible for more than 40 patents on products and processes, and, as our slogan says, is always innovating.

The 1960s:

- Production of tractor-mounted sugar cane loaders is begun in order to replace manual loading.
- Development of the first sugar cane planters and whole stalk harvesters.

The 1970s:

- The first Brazilian sugar cane billet harvester was born.
- Introduction of new agricultural equipment such as self-tipping cane wagons for in field transport.

The 1990s:

- Leadership consolidation with the Amazon green cane harvester.
- New versions of self-tipping cane wagons, with increased capacity and new designs were released.
- Start production of articulated hydraulic cranes production. Launching of the CMP Master sugar cane loader, the lightest and most productive on the market.
- Start of the peanut product line – Diggers, Drying Wagons and Self-tipping wagons.

2003 to this moment
- Introduction of new products for grain (soy beans) and orange
- Launching of the first green cane harvester equipped with tandem traction system and an exclusive seed cane kit the Santal Tandem.
- Launching of a completely mechanized planting system, with the Santal billet Cane Planter PCP 2.
